The cemetery vampire, Czech Republic
Still people can’t find evidence of the existence of the most mysterious and bloodthirsty creatures – vampires. Everything is divided into two camps: some believe, others don’t. However, contrary to common sense, in some parts of the world there are places, which prove that such creatures still can exist. One such place is located in Czech Republic – Cemetery of vampires .
In 1994, in the small Czech town of some Celakovice Frantisek Smak decided to equip your home. Digging a ditch for drainage in your garden, pan Smak found a strange burial. Arrived on a call of pan smeka the local police immediately determined that the burial sites are too ancient to open a criminal case and their competence does not apply. Then called archaeologists, who unearthed in the garden of the owner 11 of the graves in which lay the remains of 13 bodies. after Examining the remains, the archeologists came to a surprising and frightening discovery. First, all the bodies belonged to the male sex aged from 30 to 40 years. Secondly, the bodies were lying with bound hands and feet. Thirdly, in the Breasts of the skeletons were hammered aspen stakes, feet cut off, and some bodies had separated the head and the arms from the body.
Archeologically that such measures were taken after the burial of the bodies, or rather after 2 to 3 months after the funeral. Many people have long believed in terrible creatures that had risen after death and feed on human blood. In order to destroy such creatures, which were much stronger than the average person, you had to cut off his head, to drive into the heart of aspen stake. The heathens put in his mouth in order to stay alive garlic, cut off or had their hands tied, so they are unable to climb out from the grave, ripped or chopped off the feet, the beings are unable to walk. Burial in Celakovice attributed to the late tenth or early eleventh centuries. At that time nobody kept any record of the events, and even old records were often destroyed, therefore, to shed light on the strange mystery of the graves so no one could. Only at the above listed ways of burial of the bodies we can assume that the graves were buried vampires. Is this really true? What could happen in Celakovice that the locals have dealt with 13 bodies in such strange ways? Was this a mass delusion based on superstition and fears, or the fears of residents of the city could be quite reasonable?!
A mysterious place called the Cemetery of vampires, and has not given answers to all the questions. Remain only assumptions. After the discovery of the burial of the Czech press wrote that Celakovice was invaded by vampires that found the world’s first Cemetery of vampires. But why are these terrible creatures decided to attack residents of the small town? Celakovice are close to Stara Boleslav, which was a centre of Christianization of the Czech. During the period when the vampires might attack the residents of the city, was rapidly developing a cult of St. Wenceslas. As you know, then fierce struggle between the new religion – Christianity and paganism. Perhaps the dark forces or their representatives were attacked by local residents, so they do not forget their old gods and used explicitly Christian ways of dealing with vampires. Initially, archaeologists suggested that the remains could belong to aliens, but it was soon found that the violence inflicted on the villagers. Then, perhaps, it was the massacre of the Christians over the pagans or the heathens over Christians. However, according to the tradition of those times the person had to accompany in another world his wife and children, but nothing was found. It is possible that in Celakovice played out some kind of mysterious epidemic, which died the locals seems like no apparent reason. Nobody knew anything and nobody could help, including the local witch doctor. People in fear locked in their homes, expecting from minute to minute the next trap of the devil. Someone could find themselves with strange bites on the body or unnatural pale complexion. And people continued to die! In medieval times it was often epidemics broke out and quickly tried to bury people. Not excluded were then unknown cataleptic sleep, coma or just paralysis, which deprived the man of all manifestations of life indefinitely. And such people were buried alive.
The revival always was inevitable and terrible: in a coffin, deprived of air and space, the poor man was panic-stricken, I scratched the lid, biting his lip. And when frightened people were discovered in the crypt of a slightly shifted the coffin, looked inside and saw the traces of anguish buried man – a terrible grimace on his face, traces of blood on the lips and on the nails, unusual body flexibility of the body – all decided that before them the vampire and killed him. But if a man buried alive in a cataleptic state and I have yet to Wake up and suddenly it was pierced with a wooden stake, he may suddenly Wake up from shock until I died for real in the unenviable status of a vampire. Such cases could create legends about the dead of night, sucking people’s blood.
However, the exact answer to all the mysteries of the Cemetery of vampires so no one gave. Mysterious place remained beyond the fog. Someone who believes in logical argument, and someone is confident that Celakovice really attacked by real vampires, because there are official reports and records of the fight against vampires in Europe…
